Terms of Use
By downloading or using LetsRead, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What LetsRead is
LetsRead is a community app for listing and discovering physical books nearby, chatting to arrange a local handoff, and optionally leaving a Voice Capsule for the next reader. It is not an e-reader, digital bookstore, or shipping/fulfilment service. Meetups and exchanges happen between users in person.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 13, or the higher age required locally) to create an account. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
3. Your listings and conduct
- List only books you are entitled to share or sell under local law.
- Provide accurate titles, authors, condition, and pricing (free or paid as you choose).
- Do not post illegal, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content — including in photos, captions, chat, or Voice Capsules.
- Treat other readers respectfully when arranging pickups; you are solely responsible for in-person meetings and any exchange of money or books.
- Do not scrape, disrupt, or misuse the service, or attempt to access others’ accounts.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community.
4. Local handoffs
LetsRead helps you discover books and message owners. We are not a party to any agreement between users. We do not guarantee availability, condition, authenticity, or successful handoff of any book, and we do not process payments for paid listings unless expressly stated in a future product update.
5. Intellectual property
LetsRead, its branding, and the app software are owned by York Stream Technologies Limited or its licensors. You keep rights to content you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate LetsRead (for example showing your listing and Voice Capsule to other users).
6. App Store / Google Play
Your use of the iOS or Android apps is also subject to Apple’s and Google’s terms. Those platforms are not parties to these Terms between you and us, except where their standard terms say otherwise.
7. Disclaimers
LetsRead is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, York Stream Technologies Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of LetsRead or any user-to-user exchange. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for LetsRead in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or (b) €50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data. By using LetsRead you also acknowledge that policy.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the app features over time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using LetsRead at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise. Courts in Lithuania shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory rights.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms: use in-app support or the developer contact details on the Google Play or App Store listing for LetsRead.
